Port problems

I have a new Mac mini M1 with Monterey. I just installed Vista 3 on it and I can not get it to work with my Artnet system. I get an error message that says port 22125 failed to initialize.

I have an older PC that connects with no problems. Subnets are set the same and the IP address are set in the same range on the PC and the Mac. How do I correct the port problem.

Hi Mark,

This likely isn’t a IP setting issue. The most likely cause is:

  1. Your security or firewall is blocking access to the network component. You might want to try disabling these for the purpose of your tests.

  2. The application has not shutdown / opened correctly. I would advise closing the application, shut down the Mac (make sure the checkbox to resume/reopen applications is NOT checked). Restart the computer and launch Vista.

This should help. If it does not, you may wish to submit an official support request, using the webform on our website.
