Vista 2 Not Running Anymore

I’m wondering why won’t Vista 2 open on my mac anymore? It starts then quits by itself; I need it to make fixture profiles for my i3 remotely. My Mac is running Sonoma

Can you help? Anything would be much appreciated

I can tell you for sure, we did not change anything in Vista 2 - and, most probably, will keep it that way.

Is there any compelling reason to run Vista 2 in 2025?

Yeah, it’s not going to work. Vista 2 has been discontinued for almost 10 years, most software that hasn’t been updated for newer MacOS versions will stop working. I know that I have a number of applications that I had to dump when I picked up a new Mac. Your best bet is to find an older machine that can still run Vista 2 if you need it.

I need it to make fixture profiles

You can make the fixture profiles on the Vista 2 console itself?

If you want to do it on a remote computer (also running Vista 2) your options would be:

  1. find an old mac that can run Vista 2
  2. (as far as I know it) any Windows computer. Even the latest Windows versions still successfully run Vista 2 to the best of my knowledge.

I guess it’s both a pro and con of Apple devices - their security is top level.

Ok thanks!
