Custom Values on faders

Hi,

I have a bit of a problem with getting the faders to work properly for custom values.
E.g. in custom values I have the ability to set the speed for macros (e.g. built-in macros for K10 B-Eye), the values are put in such a way that, for example, 0-20 - STOP, 21-121 - clockwise rotation, 122-154 - STOP, 155 - 255 counterclockwise rotation) and now I would like to control the speed in the range of, for example, 155-255, but when I create a cue list and for the first Cue I set a value of 255 then when thrown on the fader it controls the values from 0-255, which is troublesome. I would have to set the value for the first Cue 154 (STOP), for the second one 255 and crossfade between that, but I can’t do that. Do you know of any way to control this with the fader? I have Vista R3.1 software.

Thank you in advance for help.

Exactly as you say.
Cue 1 = value of 154
Cue 2 = value of 255 and then crossfade between them.
(with the fader set to crossfade)

my video example below is cue 1 20 and cue 2 121.

Most likely I am doing something wrong, because crossfade is not working for me. Are you able to show me step by step how it looks like setting this up, or at least Cue Properties or Cuelist Properties? Maybe this is where I have it set up wrong. I have two cues made, I put crossfade on the fader and they don’t jump cues between each other.

I probably know where I have made a mistake.
I set the time to 0 and when I have a crossfade it doesn’t work. When I changed the time to 2s it works now.

However, I have a problem. Everything works until I drive the fader all the way down. Then the Cue resets (the first fader entry starts again at 0 and not at, say, 120) and I have to drive the fader up and all the way down to get the crossfade working again. I tried different settings but the same thing happens every time. Could anyone else help with this?

Can you submit a support request with a copy of your showfile?
PLease also confirm your Vista version and build number

Test.zip (22.6 KB)

In attach I upload a test show file.
I have Vista R3.1 (21919)

First, that is a very old build of Vista. Please update to R4 in order for anyone to assist. We really cannot provide proper support if you are not on the current version.

Second, you will need to submit a support request on the website, not here. This is not a proper support forum and isn’t tracked by those that would need to see the issue.

With all of that being said, there is a strong possibility it will work properly once you update. If not then submit the support request.
