Store Part to fader

Hi there,

I was wondering if you could add the ability to Store Part straight to a empty fader, just like you can with Store All. Quite a few times I am in a position where I need to keep recording parts for the show, but I need to leave a state up while other departments do their work around me programming for the show. I know that you have the ability to exclude something from the record under cue list properties, but when trying to program in a short space of time I don’t always have time to go into settings for each and every cue list.

It also seems to make sense to me that when recording Store Part, you can store just the programmer which you may want to put straight onto a fader (reacting to a situation in a gig for example) and having to go into desk layouts and then add that cue list to a handle just seems like unnecessary steps. Having the ability to record to an empty handle would remove a step and speed up programming.

Also, is it possible to add the ability to make a button on the EX behave like the LR button on an L5? We run Vista on a Mac with an EX in one of our other spaces and we use touch screens with the Mac to get the console to be closer to our L5. It would be amazing if a button could be made into a RMB so people who work with single point touch screens can use the RMB options instead of having to use a mouse.

Many thanks,

Sam

The store part tap destination is a bug that is already fixed in R4.1.

Windows
Mac

And you can store just the programmer with sore part. That’s the whole idea of it.

Hi Jack,

Can I check if we are on the latest software? We are running Vista3 R4 build 1679 (249f9b03e9). This is on our L5.

Many thanks,

Sam

Upgrade to the version above.

That is R4.1  Soon to be uploaded to the website.

Thanks Jack. I went to look at the website and it said this was the most up to date but if it wasn’t on the website yet that makes sense as to why I was confused. Will update the console and see if that fixes the issue
