At our show last night I was running the lighting rig on my MacBookPro using Vista software, a Vista EX console and our ELO Touch monitor. That in itself was a pretty cool rig for a relatively small gig - 2 universes with six Elation wireless DMX transceivers, 4 LED ellipsoidals, 12 movers, 8 static wash fixtures and,of course, our best-in-class Pea Soup hazer.
At the last minute, something batty happened with the computer that was supposed to be doing a multi-track recording via USB-MADI from our DiGiCo console so we ran a cable to my laptop, fired up Logic and ran the recording on the same computer running the lighting.
The picture shows my iPad on the left as a 3rd monitor so I could watch the recording while busking lights for the event. Boom!
