Is it possible to have swings effects or random selection for fixtures in matrices? I’m in the process of creating “dynamic groups” and this would be super helpful for my programming workflow.
Not currently - but we would like to make it so in the near future.

You can get an approximate random in a matrix using a swing FX and presets that contain both on and off values for your fixture selection - split the selection into 2 presets - odd and even will work or you can cluster for more variation - save as global
Then select just your matric and not your fixtures and set the presets as steps in your swing FX you can put an all off step in between if you want a larger off gap between your fixture presets too
this will result in a random ish look - not a true random but close enough with currant functionality !
