Color Flash on Play and Release

I am trying to make separate cuelists, each with their own color in them. For some reason, it seems the lights are flashing to a different color when fading in and out of the cue list. I just made this showfile today. I tried it in a showfile I have been working out of for other things, and it does the same thing. I tried making a fixture profile from scratch, thinking it was an issue with the profile. And it still flashes a color, but it is a different color. I also tried pulling in a generic LED color mixing fixture to see what would happen, and that also flashes a color. I thought maybe it was any new fixture I was pulling in, but I tried pulling one of the same fixtures that wasn’t giving me issues in another showfile, and it was totally fine. I also tried setting a cuelist with a color mixing white at a low priority and having that on while playing the cuelist with my color, but a color still flashes. I tried these things on the newest R4 release and R5 release, and I’m getting the same results.

The fixture I am trying to work with is the Elation Hot Box EXA in 11-channel mode.

A couple of questions:

• When you say you want to flash a color - do you want this to come in and out over 0s? If so, setting your cue time and release time to 0s would help + settings “auto play and release” in cuelist properties.
• The issue you are mentioning ONLY happens in the fixture chooser? The lights fade to cyan in 3s (your current cue time) as you would expect ?This is certainly the behavior observed when watching the DMX output fade from a default of white to cyan.

What I think you are seeing is the fixture choosers generic representation of a RGBAWuV colormix system.

At full white you would get

If you pull back red, amber, white and UV by a slight percentage (which you would eventually Xfade to 0 to get your cyan) the chooser represents an early point in the transition, which so happens to look pinky.
