I am using Vista3 R5 build 1715 (c1c1080aaa) on Windows 11.
I have created a layout on the User Configurable windows which displays the fixture chooser and the playback window. Initially the playback window did not show any playback controls. This was easily fixed by clicking the menu button next to the title of the playback window title and ticking the playback controls option. At this stage everything looks as I want it. I saved the show file. However, when I have returned to this window a few days later, the playback controls had disappeared.
I have also noticed similar behaviour on the playback window itself. Initially, the playback window did not have any playback controls. I fixed this by selecting View>Toolbars>Playback controls. Problem resolved. I saved my show file. Again a few days later the playback controls had disappeared from the playback window.
I have not been able to reproduce this this problem despite my best efforts, so I do not know how helpful my submitting this as an issue is going to be. It has has happended several times though. I have tried going the steps and every time I do, the playback controls remain visible. At one point I thought the problem had gone away but they controls have since disappeared again.
This is not the most disastrous problem in the world, but it does cause a few problems for for those operators who are not quite so familiar with Vista when the they cannot find the playback controls.
By the way I am really enjoying using Vista. I am really beginning to see how it can work well in a small community theatre context.
Thank you very much.
