hello, im currently on windows 10. i want to upgrand to windows 11 but im afraid that if i do vista 3 R5 wont work. can someone confirm if it does or does not work?

Yep, Vista R5 works on Windows 11, and I’m pretty sure it’s supported on a few earlier releases too, likely starting around R3. I’m currently running it without issues on five machines.
