Just wanting to see if it is possible to import and export cuelists between showfiles (probably given that the showfiles contain the exact same patch).
I’m trying to unify some showfiles with the exact same wash presets. Unfortunately, i cannot convince the LDs that it’s a smarter idea to just share a showfile. I have managed to get them to let me synchronise their patches so that they all have the exact same fixture ids and fixture profiles.
Is it possible to do this?

This means that your showfiles are not actually based on one another.
You might have the same fixtures and modes patched but they do not in fact share the same fixture UUIDs - which is what is required to bring in a cuelist and have it auto populate with programming from fixtures that are already in the showfile.
IE Show 1 > save as Show 2 > save as show 3 … and so on.
In this situation I would be able to be in any show and import a list from any other without any fixtures and it would work.
In the merge window - if you select some fixture to import along with the cuelist, do they populate with programming now? The downside to this of course is you will then have duplicate programming and patch, which may be problematic.
I did try merging a show with fixtures and it did work, though that won’t really help for people who have built shows with tons of cuelists. I’ll have to get them to recreate the cues i need them to have in their shows manually.
It’s a good fixture request, fixture id based import and export rather than uuid based
