Duplicate elements in custom fixture arrangement

I have some Chauvet Rogue R2X Wash fixtures in 33-channel mode, which have an arrangement of 19 LEDs, but only 5 “elements.” To explain what I mean, see the attached diagram.

I would love to have a fixture arrangement like this in Vista, however since there are only 5 actual elements, with each element controlling multiple LEDs, Vista doesn’t seem to have a solution for this. Instead, I have to just leave them in a row, like so.

Essentially what I’m asking for is the ability to duplicate icons within the custom fixture arrangement, similar to how we can duplicate icons in the main layout.

This may be similar to VST-3933, but I think it’s separate. I don’t need shapes other than the default circle, but I want to be able to make multiple of the same element so I can arrange them in custom shapes.

It’s also possible that this already exists and I’m just not seeing the solution

Woah! I appreciate the effort that you put into this post.

VST-3933 is indeed a separate request and I’d actually argue it’s probably outdated today, many fixtures require actual rendering, rather than a simple icon.

You’re not missing anything. Duplicating an element is not currently possible within the editor.
I have added this as VST-6101. I will bring it up when we get to discussing future roadmaps - it’s one of those things that will either be super simple or incredibly complicated.

Longer term, these definitions should form part of the fixture profile and control mode.
