Chataigne Vista Module

For those working with the Chataigne software, this custom module I developed for Vista R5 might be useful.
Just place the contents of the archive into C:\Users\user\Documents\Chataigne\modules (on Windows — sorry, I’m not sure about Mac), and the module will appear under Modules > Custom in Chataigne.

Hey, im part of a discord server and some people have asked about a chatagine file. and ive been giving them a old one I made but this one looks more robust. Do you mind if i share this to them?

Yes, sure

I know nothing about that software, what exactly does it do and how are you using it with Vista?

I’m trying to follow the video but I don’t have 2 hours to spare….

Chataigne is a midi mapper. It takes midi and can map it and convert the language into something vista can understand. It allows you to get more advance when mapping your midi keyboard. I use it to convert MC (Mackie control) into OSC (open sound control) which is what vista uses

Chataigne lets you “connect the unconnectable.” It’s much more than just a MIDI mapper — it supports a wide range of network (and non-network) interfaces.

For example, converting MIDI to OSC is one of the simplest things it can do.

I’ve created a module that takes any input (like MIDI) and sends the value to the correct OSC path for Vista. You can configure everything manually, of course, but the module makes it easier by letting you select the desired fader or button from a dropdown menu.
