currently using a 4 DMX outputs that are on the back of the console. I have more channels avail, just no way to hook them up. Was hoping it had an art net port on the back, but I guess that wasn’t a technology being used at time of manufacturing. Doesn’t have to be art net though. even if I could just add a usb decoder to make it happen.
Vista actually does support additional output over Art-Net or sACN, however, these protocols are output over the network that the host PC is connected to, rather than a dedicated port on the S3. This is a result of the nature of the S3; it’s not a true console, but rather a control surface for your PC running the Vista application.
My suggestion would be to purchase a 2 or 4 universe Art-Net or sACN node from any reputable lighting company, connect it to the same ethernet network as your host PC running the Vista app, and then add Art-Net or sACN broadcast outputs in Vista’s patch window.
Another option is to use a DMX splitter, depending on your configuration. If you just need more physical DMX lines of the same universes, then you can purchase a splitter so that you can connect more fixtures.
Hope that helps! Feel free to ask if you have any more questions or need more details.
