How to assign functions to an encoder

I cannot find out how to assign a function to 1 of the 5 encoders on the EX console.

Can anybody help me with this.

You can drag Groups or FX masters onto the encoders in the Virtual console window.

Will it, in the future, be possible to assign other functions to these encoders.

I would love to assign ‘hue’ and ‘focus’. This gives a quick access.
