The latest factory library page says Vista 3 R3 is required. We are running “Vista 3 R2” and need a fixture in the new library. Is the 17.4 Factory Library compatible with Vista 3 R2?
No. You have to update

Do keep in mind that if for some reason you are unable to update, you can always build your own fixture profiles using the built in fixture editor. Since you would have built them in your current version’s fixture editor, they would thus be compatible with that version. That said, there really isn’t much reason not to update to be able to take advantage of the latest features and bug fixes.
