# Vista FX Template Pages

I’m having an issue with FX template pages. I’ve saved a few effect templates for a show, but I’d like to put them on their own page in my quick picker. I made the page, but when I try to option-drag the FX template over from the FX quick picker with all templates into my specific page in a second quick picker, it’s not working. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong because I think I’ve done this or something similar before. If anyone’s experienced this and can help I’d appreciate it!

Usually what I do is just right click in that page and store the preset there, and it’ll usually populate inside of whatever page you right clicked in

That works great for storing presets, but not for storing effect templates.

As it turns out, I figured out that when you create the effect template, you have to save it into the **show** , and _not the user library_, in order for it to be an item that you can drag into FX template pages. Hopefully that solution helps others!

FYI - Not being able to assign user library fx templates is a bug I believe we have fixed in the upcoming R5 🙂

When is that R5 coming?? I want to test out the Visualizer background feature
